North Staffs Ski Club was founded in 1974 and is a one hundred percent voluntary organisation.  

All the instructors, boot room staff, kitchen staff, maintenance team and administrators give their time for the benefit of the club.  It is a company limited by guarantee, which means that it is owned by the members and all the money made is ploughed back into the business.  Over the last 5 years we have invested nearly six hundred thousand pounds in the two slopes and related facilities.

Newsletter The Club communicates regularly with members by its Newsletter which is published six times a year.  It may also be seen on this web site, where back numbers are also stored.  In the club house there is a series of noticeboards for Instructors, Juniors, General information and the Club Holiday.       download the latest copy

Club Holiday  For the last nearly thirty years the club has arranged a holiday in January.  We pick that time because prices are lower and  there is better chance of having good snow.  We stay in a hotel that is ideally “ski-in-ski-out” and we go to large resorts where there is plenty of choice for first timers and experienced skiers alike.  In recent years seventy or more people have attended.  It provides a good environment for people venturing on their first holiday, perhaps having learnt on the dry slope but having no experience of lift passes, lifts or piste maps.  The holiday is arranged during February and March and deposits need to be paid by June with final payments in October.
